User-Friendly God

"Step into the average church these days and you will likely see that the services are designed more to remove the fear of God than to promote it."

t blog,

Even though you you said you don't care... this post is just a quote from a book that you could read for some of the proof that you don't care about. And yes I go to all kinds of churches through the magic of technology - internet, books, podcasts, blogs, television, radio, magazines, etc. They're called seeker-sensitive or emergent churches - the proof is everywhere. Not that you care.

not caring means not judging others beliefs. your book is saying these churches aren't right. in other words your magical technology of today. i don't believe everything i read see or hear. (example) i call briggs and straton engines briggs and scap iron cause i have proof of many years of repairs that most of them belong in the scrap heap. therefore i wouldn't post something about briggs unless i physically new it to be true. to me the only way you know the truth about a church is to physically attend it. "that's all i'm trying to say"

I see what you are saying and that would be true if the quote was about the physical structure of the church building. I probably shouldn't judge the stability of a structure unless I had physical proof of it's instability or a reliable source of info from an engineer or something. But I'm talking about the audible and recordable preaching of the Word. I don't have to attend a Mormon church in order to know their beliefs are wrong. I don't have to go into a whore house (I know extreme example) to judge it as wrong. Also the book isn't saying "churches aren't right," only that the fear of God needs emphasized more (probably my church included).

your sarcasm on both of your repsonses proves you don't even want to understand my point of view. who are you or anyone else to judge anything based on what you've heard. i personally know what is wrong or right but i don't post public blogs about it. in your sarcasm you stated from an engineers look on the structure of the building. funny thing is that the stucture of most churches gets torn apart when the human element affects it.
